Efferalgan 250mg granules is indicated for the symptomatic treatment of mild and moderate pain and/or fever for children.
Dosage :
Efferalgan 250mg granules is reserved for the child, and to the teenager weighing between 14 and 50 kg (from 2 to 12 years approximately).
In children it is imperative to respect the dosages defined according to the weight of the child and therefore to choose a suitable presentation. Approximate ages by weight are for illustrative purposes only.
In children, the total dose of paracetamol should not exceed 60 mg / kg / day, to be divided into 4 or 6 doses, ie 15 mg per kg every 6 hours or 10 mg per kg every 4 hours.
Method and way of administration :
Oral way only. Please take the Efferalgan 250mg granules directly into the mouth, on the tongue, then swallow them without water.
Frequency of administration :
Systematic catches prevent pain or fever oscillations:
- In children, they should be regularly spaced, including at night, preferably 6 hours, and at least 4 hours.
- In adolescents, they must be spaced at least 4 hours apart.
In case of serious liver or kidney disease, you should consult your doctor before taking this medicine.
Duration of treatment :
As with any pain medication (analgesic), the duration of treatment should be as short as possible and appropriate to the symptoms.
The duration of treatment is limited to:
- 5 days in case of pain,
- 3 days in case of fever.
If symptoms persist for more than 5 days in case of pain and 3 days in case of fever, consult your doctor.
Efferalgan 250 mg, granules in sachet contains paracetamol. Do not combine with other medicines that contain it, to avoid any risk of overdose. Paracetamol overdose can damage the liver irreversibly. Reserved for children and adolescents weighing between 14 kg and 50 kg (approximately 2 to 12 years old).
