Cream against burns

This cream against burns is used to treat :

• secondary erythema, radiotherapy treatments : use Biafine emulsion - JOHNSON&JOHNSON for skin application in 2 to 3 daily applications spread over the day. Make penetrate by light massages.
• 2nd degree burns, other skin wounds : use this medication after cleansing the wound, in a thick layer. Overflow from the surface of the lesion. Repeat applications : maintain a light layer of emulsion on damaged skin. If necessary, cover with a wet compress and finish the dressing. Do not use a dry absorbent dressing on the lesion.
• 1st degree burns : apply in a thick layer until refusing the skin. Make penetrate by light massage. 2 to 4 times a day.

Biafine emulsion - JOHNSON&JOHNSON is a medicine not subject to medical prescription. Read the notice before use.

Contraindications :
Do not use this medication in case of allergy or hypersensitivity to the active substance (trolamine), or to any of the excipients.
Do not use on hemorrhagic wounds.
Do not use on an infected lesion.

Special warnings : in the event of a second degree burn or an uninfected skin wound, the action to be taken will depend on the extent of the lesion, its location, the age and history of the patient, the associated lesions and etiology.

Precautions for use :
This medication is not a sunscreen.
This medication should not be used as a care cream on healthy skin.
Do not apply near the eyes.
Do not use on less than 4 weeks old babies, with open wounds or large areas of broken or damaged skin (burns).
The active ingredient in pregnant and breastfeeding women :
Pregnant woman : no data. No effect expected in pregnant women or on the fetus.
Breastfeeding : no data. No effect expected in breastfeeding women or breastfed infants. No data on the passage of the active principle or its metabolites in milk.

Active ingredient : trolamine 0.670 g
Excipients : ethylene glycol stearate, stearic acid, cetyl palmitate, solid paraffin, liquid paraffin, perhydrosqualene, propylene glycol, avocado oil, sodium trolamine alginate, potassium sorbate, sodium methyl parahydroxybenzoate (E 219) , sodium propyl parahydroxybenzoate (E 217), Yerbatone * flavor, purified water.
* Yerbatone flavor composition: 3-Methyl-4- (2,6,6-trimethyl-2-cyclohexen-1-yl) -3-buten-2-one, benzyl benzoate, citronellol, d-limonene, eugenol, geraniol, cinnamic hexylaldehyde, hydroxycitronellal, hydroxymethyl pentyl-cyclohexene carboxaldehyde, isoeugenol and linalool, essential oil of deterpenated orange, essential oil of galbanum, essential oil of deterpene petigrain, essential oil of lemongrassiethexene, cyclo-butraldehyde, acylestyl acetate, acolytexyl-parolide, , alpha hexyl cinnamic aldehyde, citral, limonene, phenylethyl alcohol, traseolide, hercolyn, phenylethyl acetate, methylionone, dipropylene glycol, isopropyl myristate, methyl dihydrojasmonate.

• Propylene glycol can cause skin irritation,
• Potassium sorbate can cause local skin reactions (eczema),
• Sodium methyl parahydroxybenzoate (E 219) can cause allergic reactions possibly delayed,
• Sodium propyl parahydroxybenzoate (E 217) can cause allergic reactions possibly delayed,
• The fragrance (Yerbatone flavor) contains: 3-Methyl-4- (2,6,6-trimethyl-2-cyclohexen-1-yl) -3-buten-2-one, benzyl benzoate, citral, citronellol, d -limonene, eugenol, geraniol, cinnamic hexylaldehyde, hydroxycitronellal, hydroxymethyl pentyl-cyclohexene carboxaldehyde, isoeugenol and linalool.

These substances can cause allergic reactions.
