Drug against acid reflux or heartburn.
Maalox chewable tablet is a drug against acid reflux or heartburn. This medication belongs to the family of antacids. It works by neutralizing stomach acidity.
Maalox chewable tablet mint flavor contains 400 mg of aluminum hydroxide and 400 mg of magnesium hydroxide per tablet.
Indications for use and posology :
READ THE PACKAGE LEAFLET BEFORE USE.
Oral use.
Maalox chewable tablet is a drug for adults over 15 years old.
Chew or suck 1 to 2 tablets per dose during heartburn or acid reflux.
Do not exceed 6 doses per day (6 to 12 tablets/day).
In case of frequent heartburn, you can improve the effectiveness of the drug treatment by the following measures:
- Avoid high-fat meals,
- Avoid certain foods such as chocolate, spices, peppers, citrus juice, soft drinks,
- Vary your diet and exercise regularly.
Duration of treatment :
The duration of treatment is limited to 10 days.
If symptoms worsen or persist after 10 days of treatment, do not increase the dose but take the advice of your doctor or pharmacist.
Maalox sugar-free lemon contains antacids.
Do not combine with other medicines that contain them to avoid any risk of overdose.
This presentation is reserved for adults over 15 years old.
Ingredients :
For a chewable tablet:
The active substances are:
Aluminium hydroxide... 400 mg (equivalent to aluminium oxide... 200 mg)
Magnesium hydroxide...400 mg
The other components are: Mannitol, powdered sugar (3% amylaceous), sorbitol (E420), sodium saccharin, powdered mint flavour*, magnesium stearate, sucrose.
*Flavour composition: Limonene, menthone, isomenthone, menthyl acetate, neo-menthone, menthol.
